So, as promised, we return to UCAP Bunker, the WW2 bunker complex that, as some have now seen, provides epic CQB and one hell of a site.

Foam Below Ground – The Rules:
These rules have been put together to ensure fair and fun play inside the bunker. These rules may be subject to minor changes based on how our game day goes.
A reminder to ALL players is that boots and full-length legwear is mandatory under all circumstances. This is part of the bunker’s insurance terms.
If it wasn’t obvious, eye protection is mandatory. Full face protection is required for under 18s. WEAPONS AND KIT:
- All weapons/blasters are to be 1 Joule.
- All ammo types are permitted (half length, full length, mega, rival, vortex etc.) and all
propulsion methods are permitted (spring, flywheel, AEB, HPA etc.)
- Cap grenades are permitted.
- DO NOT use hard-tipped ammunition (vinyl/plastic tipped darts etc.)
- Full-auto is permitted, but please use short and controlled bursts.
- Torches on your weapons are permitted and RECOMMENDED, please ensure they are not too
bright, they do not require a red filter.
- SMALL shields are permitted. Nothing larger than half-body sized.
- NO LASERS.
GAMEPLAY:
- A hit anywhere on your body or weapon is a tag. If tagged, shout ‘HIT’ and raise your hand.
- Your shield blocks any ammunition below a mega. A mega will tag you, a mega XL or
demolisher rocket will tag you and temporarily remove your shield from the game.
- If you are tagged, DO NOT give your team any information. Call out as you cross corridors back
to respawn, otherwise you are likely to be shot.
- Avoid deliberate headshots. However, if you only present your head as a target, you are liable.
- If using a shield, DO NOT run with it. Be careful with your shield, there’s lots to get it stuck on.
- Ricochets do not count as a tag. Not unless it is specifically a Vortex round.
- Grenades are a 5 metre kill radius, unless behind HARD cover. Shields DON’T block grenades.
- Please avoid shining torches in people’s faces where possible.
- Grenades MUST be thrown underarm, dart thrown, or bowled. Do not throw them overarm.
- Team challenges/calls do not have to answered, but you CANNOT lie.
- Friendly fire counts as a tag.
- Melee weapons are not allowed, HAND TAGS are allowed however.
- DO NOT BLIND FIRE. This is a safety risk.
D.B.A.D:
- Do not cheat call.
- Do not overshoot players.
- Do not deliberately friendly fire.
- Banter is fine, verbal abuse is not.
- Do not barge past or forcibly move other players.
- Do not grab other players’ weapons.
- Do not disobey mods.
- Deliberately running a hot weapon will get you sent home on the spot.
- Try to play the objective, if there is one.

Foam Fest 2026: West Lothian College Campus
FOAM FEST is back for 2026, but this year we’re doing things a little differently!
We’re going back to our roots and Foam Fest will aim to introduce new local players to the wonders of BritNerf!
The convention itself will be held on Saturday 22 August and will be a day of two halves.
10am - 3pm will be the convention - expect a select number of vendors & exhibitors, the target ranges, new stuff, talks from BritNerf favourites and other activities. Whilst the con is on, we’ll also be running pick-up games in the hall. There will also be the amazing Foam Fest raffle in aid of our chosen local charity!
In the evening 4.30 - 7.30pm there will be a larger family-friendly hall game.

Our charity this year is called SMILE Counselling. They provide low cost bespoke counselling to young people across West Lothian aged 11-24
West Lothian college is campus based but is located beside residential housing and a large retail park, there is plenty of parking and lots of places to eat nearby. We’re hoping to involve local businesses just as we did in Wigan (2019). We would love folk to get involved to show newcomers what the hobby is all about. You’ll play in a custom built 60,000 sq ft arena, with all the cover you could need! With different rooms to make your way through, barrels and smoke, we are once again bringing you a fantastic venue to play in !
IMPORTANT – we are advising ages 14 plus for this event due to the higher fps in play.
Feel free to bring any blasters – please keep to the 150 average fps cap. We will be able to provide a Dartzone blaster for use during the event, this will be your responsibility during the event and must be returned to FDT staff at the end of the event in the same condition it was given to you!

This is essentially one of the first nerf events to be organised in the UCAP Bunker, a WW2 tunnel complex, offering more than a mile of tunnels that promise epic but challenging CQB. The current rules (may be subject to a tweak or two) are as follows:
145 FPS maximum.
Cap grenades are in play, nothing louder.
Shields are in play, typical shield kill rules apply.
Torches are permitted and recommended, please ensure they aren't too bright however.
There are NO restrictions on weapon type currently. Nor any restrictions on fully automatic fire.
Eye-pro is mandatory and full face must be worn on all under 18s.
Players should be 14 or over for this event, although case-by-case exceptions can be made.
Please try to dart sweep when game rounds end. This is subject to change depending on how big the firefights get.
Full length trousers and boots with ankle support MUST be worn here, this in NON-NEGOTIABLE due to the bunker's insurance.
The timings are as follows: Doors open at 0900, game on at 1000, end at 1300 approx.

I'm the first person to ask to rent the place so it should be fine. A New event, in a new location, with a new host. I have found a local school who is happy for us to rent the gym (good sized, with large props) with a massive playing field and playgrounds. I've had a few test battles this year and it's all gone pretty well.
Family friendly day, so good mini Flingerz are welcome (8+). Transport. Car. Glastonbury is 20mins from the M5 and the same from A303. Free Parking on site. Bus. Really good spot for busses. 376 from Bristol is a long but very pretty route through the Mendips, Wells and Glastonbury. Runs from early to late every half hour, £3. Similar busses run from Taunton, Yeovil and Bridgwater and converge close to the venue. Yeovil 376, Bridgwater 375. Train. Mixed reviews, welcome to Somerset. Bristol is easy for trains, and the bus stop is outside Temple meads station. Catch 374,375,376 to Street. Taunton is possible, walk to the bus station and catch 374 to Street, Crispin hall.
